I'm a Finnish nature photographer, educator, and content creator based between Bali and Finland — known globally for northern lights, winter landscapes, and travel photography.

Growing up, I faced bullying and struggled to find where I belonged. Photography changed that. Through my lens I found a way to express what I couldn't say out loud — and discovered that images have a quiet power to make people feel less alone.

That belief still drives everything I create. My work explores resilience, the healing quality of nature, and the kind of beauty that asks you to slow down and pay attention. I want people who see my photos to feel something — and to look at the natural world around them differently.

Today I'm one of the most followed Finnish individuals on Instagram @hugoraphy with over 900,000 followers across 100+ countries. My work has been exhibited in New York City, Liverpool, and Rome, and recognised at the International Photography Awards. I've collaborated with brands including Sony Alpha, Halti, and Etihad Airways.

Alongside my photography I run Story Lens — a mentorship programme helping photographers worldwide develop their visual storytelling and build creative careers on their own terms. It's the work I wish had existed when I was starting out.
